PT Pocket Office V1.2 / V1.6 and V1.7 update

Updates added to PT Pocket Office v1.2:

1. Auto selection of a compatible encoding e.g. if PT Pocket Office is set to request "tight" but the server does not support it then the most optimum compatible encoding will automatically be used instead - e.g. "Hextile" with RealVNC.

2. The "Server Scaling On" or "Server Scaling Off" option has been changed to "PTeSVNC/UltraVNC" or "RealVNC/TightVNC" and if connection is attempted to RealVNC or TightVNC or another VNC server without server-scaling when the option is set to "PTeSVNC/UltraVNC" then PT Pocket Office now automatically detects this and adjusts accordingly.

3. It will now connect and work with RealVNC4.x provided that "RFB 3.3" is set in the "Legacy" options for the RealVNC server.

4. File Transfer now works with the latest version of UltraVNC.

Updates added to PT Pocket Office v1.6:

1. A problem accessing storage cards on some devices when using the file transfer has been fixed.

2. New Hitachi Dash keyboard mode, now you can use the qwerty keyboard on a Dash to access the full range of PC keys in the same way only Motorola Q users could previoously.

3. The program now minimises gracefully whenever the OS requests focus e.g. incoming phone call, low battery warning etc.

Updates added to PT Pocket Office v1.7:

1. The functionality of the "Options" button has been much enhanced including quick switching between magnified and reduced viewing modes.

2. Operation for users of VPN is much improved.

3. You can now enable "hold character" mode for holding down server keys to control games such as Second Life that need press-and-hold functionality of the keyboard.

4. There are now more custom keyboard modes: the JasJar and compatibles, the HTC S710/Orange e650 and compatibles and the HTC Mogul and compatibles.

 

 

 

For MAC and Linux users

You will require a third party VNC server for your PC. On the Mac versions of
OSXvnc are compatible and for Linux you need a compatible version of RealVNC or TightVNC (or best of all UltraVNC if there is a Linux version). 

The cab file for installation of PT Pocketoffice on your PPC and Smartphone is included in the download for those of you who do not have a Windows PC.
