I think your PTvncGPRS product is absolutely amazing. After purchasing it on Handango.com two days ago, I cannot be happier. I am running the “viewer” on a Hitachi G1000 PocketPC-2002 Phone Edition, available only through Sprint in the United States.
I’m running the “server” on my home PC, which is a Pentium-4 2.0GHz attached to a 4mbps cable-modem service.

Combining the phone’s inherent high-speed digital network capabilities and your VNC application, the product is seamless and the refresh rate is most impressive.

I apologize if this sounds like an advertisement, but your product simply adds a level of mobility to my Pocket PC that I never before thought possible, and gives new meaning to the phrase “all-in-one device”. I intend to post this very same message on Handango’s product feedback page with the hope that others will take notice.

Optimized refresh rates for PocketPC phone edition

File transfer to/from the server, copy your data.
Hostname and password can now be set from within the program.

Hostname and password saved to a selection file for easy recall.

Full-screen zoom mode is now an option - in which the PC's screen is resized to 640*480 and can be scrolled around on the PPC 320*240 display.

Hostname now accepts an actual name or an IP address, plus an optional port number eg. "192.168.0.1:2" or "fred:5" or just "198.162.0.4" or "harry" etc.

Optional magnify........................................Enlarges an area of screen under the cursor

eSVNC compression encodings are now implemented using:-

CopyRect,Tight,Zlib,Hextile,Zlib Hextile,CoRRE.RRE and also RAW

8-bit RGB transfer and 16-bit RGB transfer are both available.
Choice of optimum speed or optimum quality to control the amount of server scaling (including phone edition opimizations).

The encodings, RGB setting and server scaling can be changed without disconnecting from the server and you can connect to a different server without exiting the program.

The included version of WinVNC for the PC is updated from eSVNC 1.1.2r2: proper resampling is now done when the server is in 256 colour mode and server scaling is in use and CoRRE and Zlib encodings work when server scaling is in use.
